Greg Barnes requires little introduction. He is the indefatigable Counsellor for Division 5 and Chairman of the Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism, and for the 15th consecutive year heads up the Chamber management team.

Vince Urquhart made a career change five years ago when he and his wife, Louise, purchased the management rights to Bargara Shoreline Serviced Apartments. This has been quite a change from the previous 30 years during which Vince held various positions in the security industry including the aviation sector where he was responsible for the management and training of passenger screeners throughout Australia.

At the last Annual General Meeting of the Chamber, Cassandra accepted the position of Secretary for the Executive Committee. For the past seven years she has enjoyed working for Spirit Hotels, one of Australia's largest hotel operators with 97 venues in four states with its head office based in Brisbane. Approximately 12 months ago Cassandra, with her family, moved from Mackay to take up the position of Manager of Bargara Beach Hotel Motel.

Lindon Howard is another well known businessman and foundation member of the Chamber having volunteered his time on the Management Committee since the Chambers inception in 1997. Lindon's background is in banking, working for many years for Westpac Bank including a period spent in Papua New Guinea prior to arriving in Bargara. Lindon can be found 5 1/2 days a week at the Bargara Post Office.

Maarten van Bokkel, is an experienced Quantum Biofeedback therapist and spiritual counsellor working with Josephine in their Soul Massage Clinic offering massage therapies, stress management and reduction therapies, workshops and retreats. Maarten's earlier work as an IT marketing specialist provides him with excellent skills in maintaining the Chamber's website.Maarten van Bokkel |

Andrea and her husband were looking for a change in lifestyle for their family when they moved from Brisbane to Burnett Heads 12 months ago. Their business, Burnett Heads Post & News has recently relocated to Shop 3, 1 Hermans Road. Michael returned to Bundaberg in 2007 to take on the role of Manager of Industry Development for the Wide Bay region for the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI). His work with DEEDI in both Brisbane and Bundaberg has provided Michael with a range of experience in both public and private sector development with his main focus being business and industry development. Ian Rowan has already established himself as a highly respected committee member and the Chamber welcomes his return this year. He has a sound background in emergency management and during a break from this type of work he concentrated on tourism and marketing. His own business, AZO Group focuses on risk mitigation, including WH&S, which has become a vital service for any public company or corporation holding an event or planning a mass gathering. His sense of community has been demonstrated by his involvement with Rotary, the Bargara Progress Association and the Bargara Community Bank project.

Isobel is an Honorary Life Member of the Chamber having worked on the committee for much of the past thirteen years. She has devoted many hours to the various fund-raising activities undertaken by the Chamber, including the enormous task of leading the team of volunteers in providing breakfast for veterans and people who attend the Bargara ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
